ONE MORE DAY!

Today...the 12th of October is the day before I become a Father, Anna a Mother, My mother a GRANDMother (FARMOR in Swedish), My Father a GRANDFATHER (FARFAR in swedish), My sister an AUNT, My GRANDMOTHER a 90 year old GREAT GRANDMOTHER...and all my close friends honorary UNCLES and SUGAR AUNTS... Wauw! Everybody goes up a step up the evolutionary ladder!
Our feelings are a bit mixed and planned because we know the exact day that this is going to happen...TOMORROW with a C-section in the OR at OLVG!!!! hich is strange because after a million movies and distant storylines introduced at diner parties, we have been conditioned to think that we have to have our water break after which we are supposed to rush to the hospital(to which you have been practicing to drive to for 2 months!). This weekend we have been running around cleaning on saterday, creating the perfect nest for our baby and hosting a wonderfull dinerparty. Today we had a relaxing breakfast, biked to the Amsterdam train Station to send off Mike and Joost to meet up with the guys of JAM on their way to Berlin; made a belly cast of Annas beautiful bulge; lay around and did nothing; will go see MamaMia in the cinema; have diner at RED and in the morning have our baby around ninish/tenish!
Strange to say the least...

My emerging feelings of worry and nervousness alternate with my curiousity and wonder about what is going to happen tomorrow! Your friends may tell you about this feeling, but you have not yet been able to empathize with their passionate tales of fathership...until now...

Let me say this: "I am 35 years of age and am ready to go down the road, which according to clichee, fokelore and evolution brings with it the most wonderfull rollercoaster you have ever been on! ...check back with me in about 2 months!

Anxiously awaiting my newborn, I will go out tonight and enjoy life as is... with my Girl by my side and my batteries on Full.

Soon 2B Daddy D.
